Tapestry fabric «Seraphim»
Irina Batkova’s signature “Seraphim: Angels of Infinity”—originally created for silk scarves and shawls—have been reimagined as tapestries for the first time. Within a graphite space, 44 cm seraphim float like down. Developed by Irina and produced in Russia, the collection explores the versatility of the Modern Russian Style.
The Seraphim are the highest angelic order, standing before the Divine throne. They bear the fire of love—a flame that both consumes and purifies. The ancient word śārāf carries multiple meanings: the burning one; the serpent or flying serpent; winged lightning; dragon or gryphon.
